There are few more memorable moments in Allen Iverson's decorated career than the time he crossed the great Michael Jordan. The Sixers icon had a very colorful career in the NBA, to say the least, so for this particular moment to stand out speaks volumes of its magnitude.

Iverson recently looked back at that infamous crossover over the greatest of all time. At that time, Iverson was just a rookie in the league while MJ had already established himself as an all-time great. Nevertheless, AI did not hold back. As a matter of fact, his eyes lit up the moment he had Jordan 1-on-1:

“All I could think about is I had no fear,” Iverson told Shaun Powell of NBA.com. “I feared so many other things off the court, but nothing on the court. (That crossover) was indicative of how I felt as far as being fearless on the court. We was at war. I looked at him as anybody else being in front of me. Coming into the league, I knew if I had the opportunity of trying my move that I was going to do it, and not be fearful of it.”

Fearless is the word that probably best describes Iverson. This is his whole persona and he embodied this throughout his career. This is the exact mentality he exhibited when he had the chance to go up against the GOAT.

Every basketball fan has likely come across this moment at one point or another but nevertheless, it won't hurt to see AI crossing MJ again:

Iverson went on to have a tremendous career filled with more than a few controversial moments. To say that the Sixers icon was a polarizing figure would be a bit of an understatement. Despite all the noise, however, what cannot be denied is that Iverson still remains to be one of the greatest point guards to have ever picked up a basketball.

Be that as it may, this particular moment is still fondly remembered by basketball fans everywhere. After all, it's not every day that you get to put the great Michael Jordan on skates.
