Philadelphia 76ers star Ben Simmons isn't the most well-loved figure in the NBA right now. Many believe that the former Rookie of the Year winner may have played his final game as a member of the Sixers with trade rumors spreading like wildfire.
After a four-week hiatus on social media, Simmons has finally broken his silence with a heartfelt message about the journey he's taken over the past few years. It also happens to be the Sixers star's birthday, which explains his rather sentimental mood:

Simmons did not address the trade rumors directly, but it is clear that he's well aware of the massive criticism that has been thrown at his direction over the past few weeks. In spite of all the hate, Simmons reiterates the fact that he remains “relentless” in his pursuit to be the best version of himself.
The big question now is whether or not his pursuit will be in Philadelphia. The Sixers are reportedly considering offloading Simmons in the offseason following a bitterly disappointing playoff run. Unfortunately for him, Ben Simmons has emerged as one of the biggest scapegoats of what was another upsetting postseason run by the Sixers.
