The Philadelphia 76ers have been dominating the league thus far. They currently rank first in the Eastern Conference with an impressive 32-15 record. However, in their last five games, the Sixers have been on the road, going 3-2 during their time away from home.

The Sixers have lost two straight, and head to Ohio to play the struggling Cleveland Cavaliers for their sixth straight road game. However, it seems as though star player Ben Simmons has grown frustrated with his play recently, per NBC Philadelphia.

“There's a lot going on, but it is what it is,” he said. “I've got to get my s— together and we've got to get back on track as a team.”

Strong words from a guy whose team is in first place right now. However, with the Brooklyn Nets hot on their heels, Simmons' reaction is correct.

Here is a breakdown of how he has played since Joel Embiid's injury. The Sixers have won six of nine games since Joel Embiid's left knee injury, although Simmons' offensive level has dipped. He's averaged 14.5 points and 6.6 assists on 48.4 percent shooting from the floor over his last eight games. His 22.6 turnover percentage during that period is the worst of any player classified as a point guard by Cleaning the Glass.

The NBA playoffs are right around the corner, and having the first seed is incredibly important this year. With the Nets building a super team, having a home-court advantage could be what the Sixers need to overcome the odds.

Head coach Doc Rivers hinted at Embiid returning to the lineup soon, but for now, it's still unclear as to when exactly the superstar center returns. Until then, Simmons stepping his game up is exactly what this organization needs right now.
