Even on a night where J.J. Redick torched the nets with a merciless shooting performance, Philadelphia 76ers coach Brett Brown had to acknowledge the volubility of Tobias Harris.

“He just plays with grace,” Brown told Tom Moore of the Bucks County Courier Times. “He's like a quiet assassin. I just like coaching him.”

Harris, 26, put on another serene performance in a Sixers uniform against the Orlando Magic on Tuesday – probing the lane to eke out 21 points, 12 rebounds, and five assists on 8-of-15 shooting from the field.

Philly defeated the Magic 114-106, improving their overall record to 41-23 and still occupying the No. 4 spot in the Eastern Conference standings behind the Indiana Pacers, Toronto Raptors, and recently-clinched Milwaukee Bucks.

Brown was also happy to see Redick get his groove back again.

“Great shooters shoot. It's 82 games,” Brown told reporters. “He had a few games where he was not himself. Some of that you give credit, to the Golden State Warriors as an example. Other bits, it's just part of the flow of an 82-game, six-month season. He will respond. He's that competitive, and that good.”

After a streak of quiet games for Redick, the 34-year-old marksman let loose against Orlando – dropping 26 points, and went 6-of-9 from downtown. He has definitely been suffering without the luxury of having Joel Embiid in the lineup since the All-Star break. He was 23-of-81 over his last seven games and hit 15 3-pointers. This is Redick's first 20-point game since Feb. 10 against the Lakers.

“You're going to have these little blips sometimes where you hit a bad stretch,” Redick said following the win.

Tobias Harris is averaging 21.7 points, 7.9 rebounds, and 2.7 assists – while maintaining a career-best 52.2 field goal percentage with the Philadelphia 76ers.
