Philadelphia 76ers general manager Elton Brand appears to be very satisfied with how successful his team were in the recently-concluded trade deadline fiasco. So much so, that he has set the bar extremely high for the Sixers by saying that they will not settle for anything less than the Eastern Conference Finals this season.

The Sixers were definitely one of the biggest winners on deadline day, with their activity highlighted by the acquisition of 26-year-old stud Tobias Harris from the Los Angeles Clippers. With the addition of the 6-foot-9 power forward, the Sixers now have arguably the best starting five in the league, outside of the Golden State Warriors.

It was a bit of a risky move trading for Harris and his expiring deal. Along with Jimmy Butler, these two All-Star-caliber players can opt to walk away from Philadelphia this summer and basically leave the team back at square one. The fact that Brand and his front office were willing to take on the gamble is the clearest indication yet that their main priority is to win now.

With that in perspective, it makes sense that Brand has set his sights on the Eastern Conference Finals — at the minimum.

Then again, teams like the Toronto Raptors and the Milwaukee Bucks — the top two teams in the East right now, who both also fared well in the trade deadline frenzy — might have a thing or two to say about that.

The future remains bright for the Sixers, but what is clear is that the organization firmly believes that The Process has been completed, and that now, it's time to win.
