James Harden’s first game at home in Wells Fargo Center couldn’t have gotten any better. Not only did the Philadelphia 76ers win, but Harden himself had a phenomenal game to take down the New York Knicks.

The delight was clear on Harden’s face after the contest, as he shared the fairytale moment for him. The new Sixers star also showed his appreciation for the fans who displayed how passionate they are about the team.

James Harden finished with 26 points, nine rebounds and nine assists as the Sixers went away with the 123-108 win. The only thing that would have made the home debut even better for Harden was if he finished with a triple-double. But really, who’s complaining?

Philly fans sure aren’t, especially as they get to move on from Ben Simmons and get a superstar like Harden in return.

With Harden facilitating, the Sixers thrived against the Knicks. All Philly starters scored in double figures, with Joel Embiid leading the way with 27 points. The Cameroonian big man also had 12 boards as New York struggled to find a way to stop him.

The Sixers have now won four straight, with the last three with Harden. Doc Rivers’ crew has just been unstoppable offensively with the former MVP clicking well alongside Embiid and Tyrese Maxey. Tobias Harris seems to be progressing in adjusting with his new teammate as well, which is only good news for the city and bad news for the rest of the NBA.
