Philadelphia 76ers stars James Harden and Tyrese Maxey made headlines on social media after their workout video with Sam Cassell went viral. Considering Harden's reaction, though, it looks like their drill was a success.

In the trending video, Cassell can be seen explaining a fairly simple drill where Harden and Maxey need to make seven straight shots. If they miss, the count goes up by one until the count hits zero.

While the video was cut there and we did not seen what happened next, it is safe to say they completed the drill despite being shocked by it. On Twitter, James Harden actually gave a shoutout to Tyrese Maxey and noted how he did a good job.

Despite the fact that there's no other context to the tweet, we can assume it is about the fairly exhausting drill they did with Sam Cassell.

It is definitely great to see Harden and Maxey working together and improving that chemistry. The two figure to be backcourt partners for 2022-23, and they could really use help when it comes to learning how to play off with each other's strengths.

While Maxey played really well for the Sixers last season, Harden has struggled for the most part after he came in. No on expected him to quickly adjust to the Philly system, though, so more time with his new teammates should help him settle in and get his rhythm back come the new season.

Sure enough, Sixers fans are hoping it will yield significant results.
