Philadelphia 76ers forward Jimmy Butler wasn't shy about trolling new teammate Joel Embiid after the Sixers big man set himself up with an alley-oop off the glass against the Brooklyn Nets.

“I mean, game winners are nice, but @joelembiid please explain why you felt the need to do this?,” said Butler on his Instagram post.

“Your game winner was way better haha,” replied Embiid.

Butler's eerily similar game-winner against the Nets — which was taken from the same spot on the floor as his earlier one against the Charlotte Hornets — ultimately stole the spotlight. Yet it is Embiid's savvy and complete disregard for his opponents that make this play the notable one, as he sheds the veteran Jared Dudley and throws an alley-oop off the glass with no regard for the trailing Ed Davis.

Embiid might be a social media star, but he surely has the antics to back it up on the court. Whether it is ruthless rejections or show-stopping dunks, Embiid brings his game strong, as his 32 points and 12 rebounds were just shy of shadowing Butler's 34 points and 12 boards, capped with another game-winner on the road to steal the headlines from his new teammate.

The Sixers have now won six of their last eight games since acquiring Butler, and his partnership with Embiid and Ben Simmons have only added to their prospect as one of the East's most dangerous teams in contention for the throne.
