Joel Embiid just proved why he's an MVP frontrunner. The Philadelphia 76ers star just drained an improbable game-winner to go up 3-0 on the stunned Toronto Raptors.

Check out Joel Embiid beat the shot clock buzzer to give the Sixers the win:

The Sixers star piled on 33 points and 13 rebounds on the night as his team came from behind to win it up north. Philadelphia was down by as many as 17 points on the night but Embiid buoyed his club all game up until their second-half comeback. He scored the team's final five points in overtime.

Joel Embiid was flanked by James Harden and Tyrese Maxey, who each scored 19 points apiece on the night. Harden also tallied 10 assists but fouled out with under 30 seconds to play in regulation.

That shot by Embiid all but wraps up the series for Philadelphia, barring a miracle comeback from the Toronto side. With Scottie Barnes still injured and four opportunities to close the series out for the Sixers, it's looking like an early advance for the team from Pennsylvania.

Joel Embiid is clearly on a warpath to avenge last season's early exit. After bowing out in the East Semis as the number one seed last year, the Sixers star is out for blood.
