The Sixers fell short on Monday night as they failed to close out their first-round series against the Toronto Raptors. Philly conceded a 103-88 loss to the Raptors who have now won back-to-back do-or-die games.
After the loss, Sixers superstar Joel Embiid had a strong message amid his team's two-game losing streak:

We definitely have to be better defensively, more connected defensively. I feel like there were a few plays where we were not on point and we didn’t have each other’s backs.
“But we’re fine. There’s a reason why we won three games in a row.”
There's clearly not much of a cause for concern for Embiid here who himself remains steadfast in his confidence in his Sixers teammates. They may have lost two straight, but they are still in a prime position to progress to the next round.
Game 6 is scheduled for Thursday night and a win for Embiid and Co. will see them book their place in the Eastern Conference Semifinals. A loss, however, will tie the series at 3-3 and will force a winner-take-all Game 7 matchup in Philadelphia.
