Philadelphia 76ers star big man Joel Embiid has delivered his first message on social media since the Sixers lost to the Toronto Raptors in the second round of the playoffs in seven games.

Embiid and the Sixers lost in heartbreaking fashion. Raptors superstar small forward Kawhi Leonard hit a game-winning buzzer beater in Game 7, a shot that bounced on the rim multiple times before it went in. Embiid was so hurt by the shot that he was crying on his way to the locker room.

But after a few days to decompress, Embiid vows to use this experience to get better:

Embiid struggled with a left knee injury during the entire postseason. He also developed an upper respiratory infection against the Raptors. Many believe the Sixers would have advanced to the Eastern Conference Finals had Embiid not dealt with the lingering knee ailment.

In 11 games in the 2019 postseason, Embiid averaged 20.2 points, 10.5 rebounds and 2.3 blocks while shooting 42.8 percent from the field, 30.8 percent from beyond the arc and 82.2 percent from the free-throw line.

The Sixers have a lot of questions moving forward. Jimmy Butler, Tobias Harris and J.J. Redick are unrestricted free agents this summer. Simmons made his first All-Star team this season, but his lack of a jump shot is a big liability for the team in the half court. Embiid's health is also a big question mark.
