Unfortunately, the Sixers will have to play Game 5 without Embiid, at least it's trending that way as the MVP candidate was listed as doubtful, according to Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN.

An MRI on his right knee isn't a good sign for Embiid or the Sixers, who finished with the top mark in the Eastern Conference. This will definitely be a situation to keep an eye on and could potentially prove detrimental to their hopes for an NBA Finals trip.

The injury woes continue, not just for Embiid but for the NBA as a whole. The league has been hit hard with injuries, including the first round of the playoffs. For the Sixers, it's time to go back to the drawing board and see if they can find somebody to step up in his absence.

The team will await some significant news on the severity of Embiid's injury in hopes he can be ready for a potential second-round matchup against either the New York Knicks or Atlanta Hawks.
