After helping the Philadelphia 76ers beat the Atlanta Hawks in Game 6, Joel Embiid is ready to go all-out in their do-or-die showdown on Sunday.

In his postgame presser following the Sixers' 104-99 win, Embiid emphasized that there is no way he would play as poorly as he did in the contest. The Cameroonian big man recorded 22 points, 13 rebounds and two blocks, but he shot 9-of-24 from the field (including 1-of-4 from the 3-point territory).

“I'm definitely going to be better. There’s no chance I play worse than I did tonight shooting the ball. I’m at home in front of the home crowd. It’s a perfect setup for us to win,” Embiid said, per Michael Scotto of Hoops Hype.

While it's quite a bold message from Joel Embiid, it is not without merit. After all, the 22-point game is his second-lowest in the Sixers' series against the Hawks. It is also worth noting that he averaged 32.0 points, 13.0 rebounds, 4.6 assists, 1.2 steals and 2.2 blocks in the first five games of the playoffs matchup.

Embiid's lowest production was his 17 points in their Game 4 loss. However, he did follow it up with a 37-point explosion the next outing.

One thing the Sixers should be concerned, nonetheless, is the fact that they haven't really performed that well at home. They lost the opener versus Hawks in front of the Wells Fargo Center crowd, and they did so again in Game 5.

The pressure is on Embiid and the Sixers to deliver. Hopefully, JoJo can walk the talk.
