The Philadelphia 76ers have been relatively healthy all year despite having two players that fans came into the season desperately concerned about when it came to their health. After missing his entire first season, Ben Simmons has only missed one game this season and could finish the season having played 81-of-82 games.

Joel Embiid has been the guy many have worried about, especially following multiple surgeries in his first couple seasons in the NBA. While the incredibly talented center has maintained his health all season long, he suffered a head injury against the New York Knicks. He took the hit on a screen and was on the ground for a few moments before getting up and walking to the Sixers locker room on his own power.

According to Sixers' reporter Keith Pompey, Embiid was diagnosed with a facial contusion and would not return to the game.

Embiid has only missed 11 games this season due to injury management (or rest on back-to-backs), but this latest injury did not look great. The second-year center will likely be re-evaluated for concussion-like symptoms due to the nature of the incident, which means he could be in line to miss more games.

The first-time All-Star Embiid is averaging 23.2 points, 11.1 rebounds, 3.2 assists, 1.8 blocks per game on 48.4 percent shooting from the field and 31.0 percent from beyond the arc.
