The Philadelphia 76ers are listing superstar big man Joel Embiid as questionable for Sunday's match-up against the Indiana Pacers.

Embiid hasn't played since the All-Star break due to left knee soreness. The Sixers are 4-4 since the All-Star break and enter Sunday on a two-game losing streak.

The fact that the Sixers are listing Embiid as questionable is a good sign that the two-time All-Star is close to returning to action. Shams Charania of The Athletic and Watch Stadium reported on Friday there is optimism within organization that the All-Star center can play against the Pacers.

Joel Embiid has been a monster this season. He's averaging 27.3 points, 13.5 rebounds and 3.5 assists per game for the Sixers while shooting 48.2 percent from the field, 29.5 percent from beyond the arc and 81.1 percent from the free-throw line.

Embiid has 48 double-doubles and one triple-double this season. He has established himself as the best center in the NBA, which is why Philly fans can't wait to watch him play again. However, Philadelphia is going to be cautious with JoJo since he has an extensive injury history.

The Sixers are 41-25 on the season, which is good for fourth place in the Eastern Conference standings. They are coming off losses to the Chicago Bulls and Houston Rockets.
