The Philadelphia 76ers are on a roll. New acquisition James Harden is playing great, franchise superstar Joel Embiid is making a legitimate MVP case and the Sixers are making their way up the Eastern Conference standings. A championship is more in-sight for Philly than ever before in the Embiid era.

It took a while to get there, though. After the Sixers beat the New York Knicks in Harden's first home game with the team, Embiid discussed all the turmoil he endured with the franchise, including “general managers using burner accounts, talking trash on their players“, referring to Bryan Colangelo.

Although Embiid found a new slant for Colangelo, it's safe to say that he moved on from the insane scandal. The former GM tweeting about players like a selfish punk rocked the franchise. Embiid dealt not only with the team's lead front-office executive acting like a tool but also countless injuries and frequent roster turnover. He fought through it all to become one of the best players in the NBA.

The Sixers are entering their best window to compete for a championship. They are 38-23 and are still undefeated with Harden. Although they have yet to play a fellow contender, they will look to knock some sense into any team that doesn't take them seriously. With Embiid, Harden and Tyrese Maxey, Philadelphia has a tremendous trio to lead them to the promised lands.

With Colangelo long gone and Harden fitting in perfectly, Embiid and the Sixers don't need a medium-sized latter to get to the top of the NBA.
