Joel Embiid continues to be one of the most entertaining players in all of the NBA. After calling himself the best big man in basketball today, the Philadelphia 76ers center went on to reveal his tactic to getting his defenders foul him more, and eventually fouling out.

The 23-year-old Kansas product shared, via an interview with NBA TV, that his trolling on and off the court are to bait opposing big men to be extra aggressive against him, and become too eager to prove themselves. The Sixers center then gave Andre Drummond as an example, as the latter fouled out while defending Joel Embiid on Saturday. Embiid, though, made it clear that it's all part of the competition, and nothing personal.

“I don't even know why I'm gonna say this, but I'm gonna basically give out my secret,” Embiid said.

“One of the main things about me just talking trash to all those guys is, when I go on social media I know that they're gonna be mad. And the next time they're gonna be excited to play against me, so they're gonna be extra aggressive.”

Joel Embiid has been successful with it so far, as he and Sixers are enjoying a resurgence with a 13-9 record. He has also remained healthy, resulting to more playing time this season, while giving his team a solid inside presence on the court.

Now that he has revealed his secret, it will be interesting to see how other big men will conduct themselves when going up against the Sixers titan. It could work to Embiid's advantage if they continue to defend him the same way, or it could also backfire, as opponents now know of his tactic.
