It's potentially a huge day for the city of Philadelphia and their fans. According to CBS News Meek Mill was released from jail on bail, and the Philadelphia 76ers have a chance to clinch their spot in the second round of the playoffs.

According to CBS, Michael Rubin who is a co-owner of the 76ers will pick Meek Mill up from jail and if he can make it to the game in time he will ring the Liberty Bell before tip-off.

One player who evidently was excited that he was being released was Joel Embiid. He was “going crazy, dancing in bed” when he found out the good news.

Mill being in jail in the first place was very controversial and there has been a fight since the day he went in to get him back out. Mill was sentenced in November to 2-4 years in jail for a probation violation. He had two minor run-ins with the law since his original drug and guns charges.

He got into an altercation at the airport, and he rode his dirt bike in New York City. The original prosecutors said he shouldn't be sentenced to jail time because he had changed since his original charges but Judge Genece Brinkley decided to sentence him to jail anyways.
