A now-deleted tweet about Markelle Fultz' recovery caused a bit of confusion earlier this week. Fultz’s trainer, Drew Hanlen, sent a response to another trainer, indicating that Fultz still isn't healthy. Following Tuesday's practice, Sixers head coach Brett Brown dismissed this notion.

“He’s been playing basketball and doing well, he’s fine,” Brown told Sarah Todd of Philly.com, referring to Fultz. “Nobody is 100 percent healthy, but he’s healthy enough to play basketball like JJ [Redick] is and Joel [Embiid] is.”

When asked about the status of his recovery, Fultz noted that he “feels good.”

“For sure, I mean nobody is ever 100 percent healthy in this game,” Fultz said. “You play five games in seven days, you get bumps and bruises, and that's the life of the NBA. Everything feels good. You see me playing and I'm out here competing everyday.”

Fultz, now 20 years of age, dealt with a shoulder injury last season, which caused him to miss the majority of his rookie season (2017-18). This season, however, the former No. 1 overall pick has played in 11 games (all starts), racking up averages of 9.3 points on 39.3 percent shooting from the field (30.8 percent from beyond the arc), 4.1 rebounds, 3.5 assists, and 1.1 steals in 2.3 minutes per outing.

On Tuesday, coach Brown noted that he is still debating on whether or not to start Fultz.

“I'm going to have a judgment, a gut feel on where this goes (and) how long it goes,” Brown tells Tom Moore of the Bucks County Courier Times. “The only thing I can confidently say is it will come with a tremendous amount of thought and it will not be reactionary.”

Fultz and the Sixers will be back in action on Wednesday night, when they'll travel to Indiana for a match-up against the Pacers. Tip-off inside Bankers Life Fieldhouse is set for 8:00 p.m. EST with ESPN having live broadcast coverage.
