The Philadelphia 76ers are out of the playoffs after going 4-2 in the second round against the Miami Heat. Now, they're moving forward and looking to next season, trying to figure out who should stay and who should go.

To the chagrin of many Sixers fans, Daryl Morey announced last Friday that Doc Rivers will be the head coach for the upcoming season.

Despite the public announcement made during Morey's exit interview, some fans are still holding out for a change of heart. One fan took advantage of his college graduation ceremony to get the message across. He spotted the camera live streaming the event and held up his cell phone, which read, ā€œFire Doc Riversā€ while he walked across the stage.

Bleacher Report tweeted the clip of the ceremony Tuesday afternoon.

The graduate, Leonard Y. Chen, received his degree in Philosophy, Politics and Economics. However, it looks like he was more focused on publicizing his Sixers' take rather than his huge accomplishment.

While this is certainly a bold gesture, Chen isn't alone in his opinion. Some fans are willing to give Rivers another chance, but it appears that the large majority wants to see a change in leadership this offseason.

Take a look at this mail box in South Philly, graffitied with a similar message knocking the head coach.

For now, no amount of protests seem to be wavering Morey's decision. Rivers is on contract with the Sixers until the end of the 2024-2025 season.
