Paul Reed provided some quality minutes off the bench for the Sixers in their Game 1 clash against the Miami Heat on Monday night. DeAndre Jordan got the nod to start at the center spot with Joel Embiid sitting out due to a concussion, but it was Reed who made a bigger impact on the game with the second unit.

In the end, however, the Heat overpowered a shorthanded Sixers side, 106-92, to take a 1-0 series lead. Nevertheless, Reed is adamant that the Sixers have what it takes to defeat their opponents in this series:

“We can beat this team. If we keep them on their heels, they're going to fold,” Reed said, via Barry Jackson of the Miami Herald.

Reed firmly believes that the Sixers can push the Heat to their limit to the point of collapse. This is a tough ask for any team in the league, but even more so for Philly, particularly if Embiid misses more time. The good news for the Sixers is that their superstar big man could be available for Game 3, which significantly improves their chances against the top-seeded Heat. This series is just getting started.
