Fultz's Sixers teammates are increasingly concerned about his overall well-being, beyond his struggles on the court, league sources told ESPN. The organization has expressed its support as Fultz completes his consultations in the coming days.
There is certainly good reason for teammates to be concerned. Markelle Fultz's career has been hampered with the injury to his right shoulder. It is no secret that he had taken some bizarre approaches in an effort to alleviate the issue. However, it has finally culminated with him seemingly planning to take some serious time off.
The representatives of Markelle Fultz recently announced that the second-year guard would be seeking further treatment before making a return to the court. Rumors have since surfaced about Philadelphia fielding potential offers for the former No. 1 overall pick. Of course, the prospect of the Sixers getting any kind of solid return for a player with so many issues seems a bit far-fetched. Regardless, there are those who believe a looming departure is on the way.
