Allen Iverson has always been controversial throughout his NBA career. From missing practices to his bold comments, the Philadelphia 76ers great just finds a way to continue being much talked about and part of a lot of headlines. Even now that he is retired from the league, The Answer once again caught a lot of people’s attention during an in-game interview on Tuesday.

With the Charlotte Hornets and Philadelphia 76ers facing off inside Spectrum Center, the Hall of Famer was part of the crowd watching the game live. Iverson was interviewed to ask about his thoughts on the current Sixers players, and there seemed to be something different with the former MVP, to say the least.

He was stuttering continuously and even repeated some of the things he said, making fans wonder what is going on with him.

Speculations have now emerged that he was smashed during the interview, as his actions and responses were very uncharacteristic. For what it's worth though, he may have proven himself right that the Sixers could indeed have enough in their roster to make it to the playoffs for the first time in six years, although their chances of winning the title still appears slim, with the Cleveland Cavaliers, Boston Celtics, and Toronto Raptors considered the favorites in the Eastern Conference.

Iverson played 14 seasons in the NBA, appearing for four different franchises. He had his best run with the Sixers, winning the MVP Award in 2001, and leading them all the way to the Finals the same year. He retired from the league in 2013 and is widely considered one of the best guards to ever play the game.
