Video: Ben Simmons blows by Lonzo Ball for the slam

Ben Simmons

Philadelphia 76ers rookie Ben Simmons is finally getting into the swing of his NBA career after sitting out a full season due to an injury.

Not only is he back on the basketball court, but he’s turned out as the runaway favorite for Rookie of the Year as he helps lead the Sixers to go above .500 averaging 17.8 points, 7.5 assists, and 9.2 rebounds per game.

It’s no secret that the 6’10” point-forward is not a fan of the Big Baller Brand and the boastful comments made by LaVar Ball. In fact, teammate Joel Embiid and Simmons commenced roasting Lonzo Ball the moment he was selected by the Los Angeles Lakers.

Ben Simmons never forgot the message sent by Embiid and his opportunity came early in the first quarter on a fast break where Ball stood between him and the basket.

The end result didn’t end well for Lonzo Ball as Simmons as he pulled off a nifty eurostep on the Lakers guard and jammed a two-handed dunk for the exclamation.

Joel Embiid must have search for LaVar Ball in the stands to see if he’ll run over to his son after being dunked on by Ben Simmons.
