Philadelphia 76ers star Ben Simmons debuts his new stepback 3-pointer in a pick-up game.

In addition to one power dunk, Simmons drained all sorts of jumpers during a pick-up game. From stepback 3-pointers to stepback perimeter shots and fade-away jumpers from the post, the Sixers point-forward seems to have added a ton to his offensive arsenal.

Over the past couple of years, Simmons has received plenty of criticisms for his inability to shoot from long distance. Opposing players have taken advantage of it by pushing him away from the basket, knowing for a fact that he doesn't have a reliable jump shot and 3-pointer.

Though Simmons managed to work around this, his lackĀ  of shooting is holding his development to a true superstar. Coupled with his superior passing, a consistent jumper and ability to knock down shots from deep will make him and the Sixers even more formidable.

From the looks of it, Simmons finally heeded the advice of his peers. Now, the only thing left for Simmons to do is use his new weapons during an actual game. Many will certainly keep an eye on Simmons and see if he and Joel Embiid can take Philly all the way to the NBA Finals.
