Philadelphia 76ers swingman Corey Brewer just got back in the NBA, and the Sixers' defensive ace is already doing things like this to the Denver Nuggets' Torrey Craig.

Brewer snuck past the Nuggets defense and flew in for a semi-transition throwdown. He hung on the rim for a bit too long as his legs swung around all over the place. Unfortunately, as he was coming down, he accidentally kicked Craig on the back of his head and knocked him down.

The referees immediately issued a technical to Brewer. Fortunately for him, the officials understood that the 32-year-old did not intend to do harm to the Nuggets' reserve swingman. Craig appeared to be okay after the accidental hit, though he looked a bit dazed at first.

The dunk marked Brewer's eighth point in the quarter, after going 4-of-4 to start the game. The 13-year veteran started for the injured Jimmy Butler, who has been sidelined with a sprained right wrist. Brewer had his best game for the Sixers, scoring 20 points to go along with four steals.

The Sixers acquired Brewer's services with a 10-day contract on January 15, and recently signed him to a second one on January 25. Since debuting with the team, Brewer has provided a veteran spark and some valuable minutes for the Sixers. He did an exceptional job in defending MVP candidate James Harden in their win against the Houston Rockets this past week, and was also key in their victory against the San Antonio Spurs.

With his play as of late, it seems very likely that Brewer will remain with Philadelphia for the rest of the season.
