Video: Sixers’ Jimmy Butler sinks shot while falling down after foul from Kings’ Nemanja Bjelica

Philadelphia 76ers’ Jimmy Butler is having an underwhelming season, but he continues to remind everyone that he’s still the same skilled, athletic forward that once made the All-Star team.

During the first half of the Sixers’ game against the Sacramento Kings, Butler was fouled hard by Sacramento Kings’ Nemanja Bjelica. But he didn’t allow the opponent to prevent him from scoring. He found a way to make the shot while falling down.

Butler’s play somehow diminished since he was traded to the Sixers. He became the third option on offense behind Joel Embiid and Ben Simmons. His touches were also decreased after the team acquired Tobias Harris last month. But he’s still an integral part of the team, as he continues to get his numbers despite the change in scenery.

As of this writing, Butler currently has 18 points, seven assists, and four rebounds to help the Sixers maintain a 109-104 lead midway in the fourth quarter.

The Sixers are currently fourth in the Eastern Conference standings, and should they end up in that spot come playoffs, they are assured of homecourt advantage in the first round of the playoffs.

Philly is expected to make a deep run in the postseason, and Butler will play a key role in making that happen. His defense and leadership will be key to the Sixers success moving forward.
