The Philadelphia 76ers could no longer afford to lose in their second-round series with the Boston Celtics. Down 3-1 in the series, the Sixers need to execute well on as many plays as possible, but that was not the case during one offensive set late in the first quarter of Game 5 when J.J. Redick was left frustrated at teammate T.J. McConnel for taking away a 3-point attempt from him.

Even after the sequence, Redick could still be seen fuming mad at McConnell, who managed to score in that possession, as pointed out by BBallBreakdown.

Considering that the Sixers are a loss away from elimination, this kind of attitude shown by Redick is among the last things Philly needs at this moment. It was an unnecessary display of emotion to a teammate, who helped saved the Sixers from elimination in the previous game.

McConnell was a huge reason why the Sixers managed to extend the series to Game 5. The former Arizona Wildcat guard scored 19 points and added eight rebounds and five assists in a spot start in Game 4 to help the Sixers avoid an embarrassing sweep at the hands of Boston.

As for Redick, the frustration could be coming from his recent struggle to connect on his shots. He went 1-for-7 from deep and 3-for-11 from the field in Game 4.
