Philadelphia 76ers center Joel Embiid is no stranger to the highlight reels. The two-time All-Star has compiled more than his fair share of awesome plays over his three seasons in the NBA.

But his most recent highlight may be one of his best, especially considering the stakes. It came late in the first quarter of Game 1 of the Sixers' second round matchup against the Toronto Raptors.

With the clock winding down in the first quarter, Joel Embiid got the ball at the arc and dribbled past Raptors defender Serge Ibaka. He then took it to the hoop and sent it over Jodie Meeks for the slam.

Embiid is off to an incredible start to the playoffs for Philadelphia. He battled a knee injury in the first round and only played in parts of four of the Sixers' five games against the Brooklyn Nets. However, in just 24.3 minutes per game, he still averaged an absurd 24.8 points and 13.5 rebounds. At halftime on Saturday night, he already had 12 points and seven boards.

The 25-year-old had the best season of his young career this year. He averaged 27.5 points, 13.6 rebounds and 3.7 assists while shooting 48.4 percent.

The second-seeded Raptors are favored in the series, but Philadelphia has a very talented team. Embiid will need to continue to produce to lead his team to the Eastern Conference Finals.
