The Philadelphia 76ers have a 3-1 series lead on the Brooklyn Nets in the first round of the playoffs. Sixers star center Joel Embiid had a monster game in Game 4 to give Philly the commanding 3-1 lead.
As we all know, Embiid is the biggest troll in the NBA. His Twitter and Instagram captions are always epic, and so are his postgame comments.
During his Game 4 presser with reporters, Embiid — sitting next to Jimmy Butler — joked he didn’t want the Sixers to blow a 3-1 series lead like the Golden State Warriors did in the 2016 NBA Finals against LeBron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers.
As soon as Butler heard that from Embiid, the All-Star swingman smiled and left the press conference.
Joel Embiid says he doesn’t want to blow a 3-1 lead like the #Warriors did in 2016 – “It feels good to be up 3-1. We definitely don’t want to be in a situation like the Warriors two years ago.” 😂😂#Sixers #Nets #Cavs pic.twitter.com/Z9fE6xpysF

This is what makes Embiid great. He’s always in a joking mood, which is a nice change of pace since most players in the league don’t have a fun personality in the postseason.
Butler’s reaction to Embiid’s comments makes this even better. The Sixers are coming off a huge, emotional Game 4 win and Embiid is cool as a cucumber. He’s definitely one of the funniest superstars we have seen in a long time.
Game 4 of this series is on Tuesday. The Sixers will be heavy favorites at home.
