Joel Embiid wasn't able to play for the Philadelphia 76ers in Game 1 against the Miami Heat, but he still played his part in getting the crowd fired up.

While wearing a Phantom of the Opera mask Embiid did the Sixers' pregame tradition of ringing the bell. He has been testing out different masks trying to figure out which one he will wear when he comes back.

It really wasn't a surprise to see Embiid wearing a Phantom mask, as he joked that he would be the “Phantom of the Process” due to the new look that he will be having.

It also very Embiid-like to make the most out of a situation that is less than ideal. He is one of the most positive players in the league and despite dealing with all the injuries he has had, he seems to always have a big smile on his face.

For Embiid, he hopes to sport that mask on the court in Game 2 of the series.

“If it was my decision I would play, but I can’t get back out on the court if I don’t have the OK from them,” Embiid told Ramona Shelburne of ESPN. “But everything has been going well.

The Sixers will be happy to get Embiid back, and he will just be another added piece for a team that has learned how to win games without him.
