It goes without saying that Philadelphia 76ers star Joel Embiid is a freak athlete. His height and athleticism have changed the NBA's perception on centers. In recent memory, big men like Shaquille O'Neal, Tim Duncan, and Kevin Garnett thrived using their inside game. However, the Sixers center is a much quicker player than all of them. Perhaps, he is just as skilled as them as well.

After missing two seasons because of injury, Embiid is now a star in the NBA. He is averaging 23.7 points, 11.1 rebounds, and 3.2 assists for the Sixers this season. He has also been known for showcasing his adept athleticism and wide skillset this season.

Against the Clippers on Saturday night, Embiid used a giant hop step to make his way to the rim for an easy bucket. Justin Anderson had a priceless reaction to the whole play.

Embiid's giant hop step is technically legal in the NBA, although it looks like he jumped three feet in the air. Clearly, with Embiid's size, there doesn't appear to be anything the defender could have done to stop the 7-footer's flow.

Anderson, on the other hand, had a hilarious reaction to the play, leaping in the air after his teammate made the turnaround jumper. This season, Embiid has made several viral plays. He is one of the most jovial players in the league, cracking jokes on social media and making highlight clips at the expense of his opponents.

Now that the Sixers are on the brink of making the postseason, Embiid must step up and lead his team to more wins down the road. Hopefully, the Cameroonian big man can do it.
