The Philadelphia 76ers have been anxious to get rookie guard Markelle Fultz back onto the court, but they refused to rush him. Instead, they let him work through his shoulder injury and shooting struggles after the first four games of the season, resulting in what ended up being a 61-game absence.

Fult has now finally returned, and he's shown promise over the last five games, averaging 7.4 points, 2.6 rebounds, 4.4 assists, and 0.8 steals per game on 43.6 percent shooting.

In the Sixers' latest game against the Detroit Pistons, Fultz did something he hasn't done all season long: attempt a three-pointer. After going 65 shot attempts without an attempt from deep, Marco Belinelli dished a pass out to Fultz on the left wing near the corner with just a few seconds left in the third quarter, but his three-attempt bounced off the front of the rim.

Fultz's shooting struggles are likely going to he continues to work his way through it. In his lone season with the Washington Huskies last year, Fultz averaged 2.1 made three-pointers per game on five attempts (41.3 percent). He finished his freshman year knocking down 52 three-pointers in 25 games.

His three-point game will come, but it's something he still has to work on in the offseason.
