The last time we saw Philadelphia 76ers second-year guard Markelle Fultz at the free-throw line in Miami, the Sixers' No. 1 overall pick in 2017 double-hitched and missed.

Friday night at home against the Utah Jazz, Markelle Fultz tried a different routine, and it's just as weird.

Everyone is familiar with Markelle Fultz's story by now. He only played in 14 games last season due to scapular muscle imbalance in his right shoulder. The injury was so bad that it affected his confidence in his jump shot.

Fultz's jump shot still has a nasty hitch to it. He reportedly parted ways with his trainer, Drew Hanlen, and doesn’t appear to have any confidence shooting the ball. The guard has airballed some shots from distance this season as well. It has just become really hard to watch the young Sixers guard play basketball, especially considering he was a special player in college.

Are Markelle Fultz's struggles mental or physical? An argument can be made that he's struggling in both aspects. It still doesn't look like Fultz is 100 percent, and it's very clear his head is currently not in the right place. There's so much pressure for Fultz to live up to the hype of being a No. 1 overall pick that, at times, it appears he's pressing too much on the court.
