The Philadelphia 76ers and Boston Celtics played a game on Thursday night following the news of Joel Embiid’s injury keeping him out for some time. While the 76ers were shorthanded without Embiid, they were still able to defeat the Celtics at home – leading the Philly faithful to chant some rather disrespectful statements in the Celtics’ direction.

As you can see (and hear), Sixers fans were extremely excited about defeating the hated Celtics without Embiid and they let the opposing team know about it.

While the Celts raced out to a 35-26 first quarter lead, the Sixers fought back with gusto in the second half – including a definitive 32 to 18 fourth quarter, which led to the Sixers taking a lead they would never relinquish.

Without Embiid, Al Horford and Josh Richardson stepped up in big ways with the former logging 17 points on 11 shooting possessions and the latter notching a game-high 29 on only 16 possessions.
