General Hospital star Johnny Wactor was shot and killed in downtown Los Angeles.

TMZ broke the story about his death, which occurred by an apparent robbery gone wrong. He was shot early Saturday morning while with a coworker. Three people were messing with Johnny’s vehicle when the star and colleague approached the criminals. From there, things took a turn for the worse.

It appears it’s the same incident that was reported by ABC 7 in Los Angeles about a fatal robbery. This took place around Pico Boulevard and South Hope Street. The three men fled the scene, and the police did not provide details about the suspects or victim.

Wactor’s mother, Scarlett, said she was told that the actor didn’t try to fight or stop them. However, they shot at him anyway. After being taken to a nearby hospital, he was pronounced dead.
