With the January transfer window quickly approaching, Barcelona has pinpointed numerous targets they could bring in on loan. Among them is Chelsea outcast Timo Werner, according to Marca.
The German has struggled to adapt to life in the Premier League since his big-money move from RB Leipzig in the summer of 2020. Werner is essentially a substitute for Thomas Tuchel's side after they signed Romelu Lukaku which is giving Barca hope that a loan deal could be done in the new year.

The Germany international has logged a mere 388 minutes in league action this term and is clearly in need of more playing time.
Werner is currently out due to injury, but as a whole, his previous goal-scoring prowess from the Bundesliga has been non-existent in England. Barcelona is also eyeing Edinson Cavani and Raheem Sterling as potential targets, with Sterling recently voicing his desire to move on if the right offer came calling.
The La Liga giants are in a much different position than years past, sitting ninth in the table and barely staying afloat in the Champions League group stages. It's clear they need a spark to their squad and evidently, Xavi will be making sure the club is active in January.
