Ahead of the high-stakes Manchester Derby this weekend, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer claims Manchester United is the best club in the city—and even in the world.
It is no secret that ever since Sir Alex Ferguson's departure from Manchester United, the club has struggled to replicate the success garnered by one of the best managers to ever grace the game of football. The Red Devils have cycled through many various managers, and now, Solskjaer might be the next one out the door if he continues to struggle with a roster overflowing with talent.
Amid United's struggles in recent years, Manchester City has capitalized on every opportunity they've received to eclipse their cross-city rivals. Contrary to United, City has won the Premier League 4 times ever since Ferguson's exit—clearly making them the more successful Manchester club in recent years.
Despite City's success and United's lackluster performances, according to Fabrizio Romano, Solskjaer believes United remains the best club in Manchester—and even in the world.
Solskjær: “You have to have respect for what Man City have done in last 10 years, even more so in the last 4 or 5. But we are Man United, we are always going to come back – I think we are the number one club in Manchester and that also probably means in the world”. 🔴 #MUFC

Not only will this bold statement catch the eyes of City fans, but all football fans around the world. It may sound absurd and delusional, but United fans may feel the same way. It's completely up to Solskjaer and his side to back up his statement with a massive win at Old Trafford.
