Fiorentina midfielder Sofyan Amrabat's fate will likely be sealed on Deadline Day. The Morroco midfielder has not been seen with the Fiorentina squad recently as he has been training alone, waiting for the Manchester United move. Amrabat has been linked with the Red Devils as early as June.

According to the reports from TMW, Manchester United are working towards completing a loan deal for the Morocco superstar. The 27-year-old initially was planned to join the Premier League giants on a permanent move. However, United were unable to offload enough players in the market, which was a necessity according to the Financial Fairplay (FFP) rules.

Manchester United's only significant sales this summer were Alex Telles to Al Nassr and Fred to Fenerbahce. They were set to sell Harry Maguire to West Ham, but the Englishman refused to agree on personal terms and wanted his current club to pay the remainder of his contract. With Manchester United having nowhere to go, they have decided to sign Amrabat on loan.

The Red Devils have been far from convincing at the start of this season. Although they have maintained a perfect home record, they have looked far from convincing in the wins against Wolverhampton Wanderers and Nottingham Forest. Moreover, they lost 2-0 to Tottenham Hotspur away from home. Their midfield has been pointed to be a major weakness, considering the opposition midfields are easily bypassing it.

The addition of Amrabat will be a huge boost for Erik ten Hag, who hasn't had a fit signing in this window except for Andre Onana. Mason Mount is sidelined with an injury, whereas Rasmus Hojlund is yet to make his debut.
