Manchester United defender Victor Lindelof has opened up on his future at the club. He has been at Old Trafford since 2017 and has recently become a regular starter under manager Erik ten Hag.

According to Fabrizio Romano, Lindelof was discussing his Manchester United future during the international break. He said, “I love Manchester Utd, and I still have a contract. So I can say that my exit this summer wasn't close at all”.

Lindelof also discussed the situation around Jadon Sancho at Manchester United. He said, “Sancho? Many things are written about United, and it will always be like that. We are a united group. I don't think about it”.

Lindelof has been a regular starter at Manchester United, with the injury problems to Raphael Varane and Lisandro Martinez. Last season, the Swedish defender played the most minutes in the second half of the season after Bruno Fernandes at the club. Varane and Martinez both got injured in the last few weeks of the season.

Recently, Varane has been sidelined again due to an injury, and Lindelof has started games again. If he continues to be second fiddle behind players who are injury-prone, there is no doubt that he will get many minutes at Manchester United. In the last few minutes against Arsenal, Lindelof got injured as well and was replaced by Jonny Evans.

Manchester United have arguably the weakest spine going into the international break, with injuries and potential suspensions all over the squad. Alongside their injury concerns, they have to deal with the off-the-field problems of Antony and Sancho.
