Through the first four quarters of his return to the court on Monday, Stephen Curry came off the bench, and wasn't expected to get heavy minutes. But then Shaun Livingston was ejected in the third quarter, forcing the hand of Golden State Warriors coach Steve Kerr.

Curry was slow to get going in regulation, shooting just 10-for-25 from the floor and 2-for-13 from three-point range through the first four quarters, showing rust from his four games missed with a sprained left MCL.

He made everyone forget about that in overtime. Showing everyone why he was named the NBA's Most Valuable Player for the second year in a row, he erupted for 17 points in overtime, outscoring the Portland Trail Blazers by himself and setting a league record for OT scoring.
