We have another blockbuster trade in our hands ahead of NBA free agency, and it comes in the form of the San Antonio Spurs sending All-Star point guard Dejounte Murray to the Atlanta Hawks.

According to NBA guru Shams Charania of The Athletic, the Spurs have agreed to a deal with the Hawks that will see Murray take his talents to Atlanta in exchange for Danilo Gallinari and future draft picks:

Sources: The Spurs are trading Dejounte Murray to Atlanta for Danilo Gallinari, three first-round draft picks and a draft swap.

ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski also confirmed the deal:

The Hawks are sending three first-round picks and a future pick swap to the Spurs to pair Murray with All-NBA guard Trae Young, sources tell ESPN.

This actually does not come as a major surprise considering how the Hawks have been heavily linked to Murray of late. Earlier reports suggested that the Spurs were potentially going to get John Collins as part of the deal, but as it turns out, they have instead decided to take Gallinari and a handful of future first-rounders.

The Hawks have just made a major upgrade in their backcourt, which will now feature two All-Star guards in Murray and Trae Young. The Spurs, on the other hand, have now secured their future with the acquisition of a massive haul of first-round picks here.
