The San Antonio Spurs were less than two minutes away from beating the second best team in the East, the Toronto Raptors. Unfortunately for them, Kyle Lowry knows very well what to do against their star player, DeMar DeRozan, who has been a Raptor for nine years.

DeMar DeRozan committed a crucial turnover that allowed Raptors star Kawhi Leonard to seal the game with a huge dunk. After the game, the former All-Star told Toronto beat writer Josh Lewenberg that he's the one to blame for the Spurs' late-game meltdown, although he admits that he felt he got hit that led to the crucial error.

“I knew they were going to be aggressive… It's on me to be able to look ahead and try to read that before.”

DeRozan finished with 23 points, eight assists and four boards while shooting 7-12 from the field, but he was unable to do damage in the crucial moments of the game. He credits former teammate and close friend Kyle Lowry for defending him well in crunch time.

This is the final meeting between both teams this season, and they each got a win apiece against each other. However, expect less emotions once they meet again next season, as DeRozan has admitted that he will be able to move forward with his career after seeing the reaction from the Raptors crowd.

Now, he can solely focus on helping the Spurs' postseason push in their final 22 games.
