The NBA has postponed a game for the 25th time this season in accordance to the league’s health and safety protocols. The game between the San Antonio Spurs and Detroit Pistons at Little Caesars Arena that was scheduled for Tuesday has been postponed, according to Marc Stein of The New York Times.

This comes following a positive COVID-19 test within the Spurs organization and subsequent contact tracing.

In a statement released by the league, as a result of the positive test and ongoing contact tracing, San Antonio does not have at least eight players for the game against the Pistons, which is the minimum number required for the game to push through.

The Spurs are coming off a 122-110 win over the Charlotte Hornets on Sunday, which was their second straight. The victory gives San Antonio a 16-11 record, which is good for the sixth seed in the Western Conference.

Detroit, meanwhile, is fresh from a 123-112 win over the New Orleans Pelicans on Sunday, and have also won consecutive games. The Pistons, however, only have eight wins against 19 losses and are second to last in the Eastern Conference behind the Washington Wizards.

It is unclear yet how the postponement could affect the schedule of other teams around the NBA, including the Hornets. San Antonio was originally scheduled to play the Cleveland Cavaliers on Wednesday after playing Detroit, but that could change after the postponement of the game.

The Pistons, meanwhile, have the Dallas Mavericks on Wednesday in their schedule, but that contest could also be subject to change following the league’s announcement.
