San Antonio Spurs Gregg Popovich had a short night on Wednesday after he was ejected 63 second into their game against the Denver Nuggets at the Pepsi Center.

Popovich felt that Spurs forward LaMarcus Aldridge was fouled by Nuggets veteran Paul Millsap when the former took a short jumper. After getting no-call from the officials, Popovich stood up and made Mark Ayotte aware of his disgust over what he felt was poor officiating.

The veteran head coach called a timeout with almost just a minute into the game to complain. Assistant coaches Ime Udoka and Becky Hammon tried to pacify Popovich, but the 70-year-old coach earned two technical fouls and was ejected from the crucial game against the Nuggets.

It was the second ejection for GreggPopovich in a week. In their game against the Sacramento Kings on Sunday, the five-time NBA champion coach went berserk and charged to the court to protest the out-of-bounds call on Derrick White. Tyler Ford had enough, handing two technical fouls to Popovich in the third period of the match.

Without Popovich, the Spurs eventually took a 113-106 loss to the Kings. It remains to be seen how the Spurs would respond to the recent ejection.

The Spurs currently hold a 45-33 record, which is good for seventh spot in the stacked Western Conference standings. A loss against the Nuggets could push San Antonio to the eighth spot in the West. Finishing eighth in the Western Conference could lead to a first-round playoff series against defending champions Golden State Warriors.
