New England Patriots head coach Bill Belichick was front and center in the lawsuit of former Miami Dolphins head coach Brian Flores. Flores used some of his text messages from Belichick as evidence in his case against the NFL, then saying that he and the legendary Patriots head coach hadn't spoken since the incident. Now a defensive assistant with the Pittsburgh Steelers, Flores revealed his true feelings towards Belichick, via the Boston Sports Herald.

“I’m not mad,” Flores said. “Bill did what a lot of us — he sent a text message to the wrong person. I’m certainly guilty of that before. To me, I thought it was specific to the lawsuit in that it confirmed a lot of the things that I thought were going on — that I think a lot of Black or minority coaches think are going on, it kind of confirmed it for me.

Brian Flores, who was hired by the Steelers two days ago, said that he's “not mad” at Patriots head coach Bill Belichick over his text message. Flores said that many people are certainly guilty of sending texts to the wrong person.

The Steelers assistant even said that his former Patriots colleague helped him to “confirm” a lot of what he thought was going on in the league with Black and minority head coaches. Flores then went on to praise Belichick, both as a coach and as a person.

Clearly, Flores hasn't lost any respect for Belichick over the incident that led to his lawsuit.
