The tragic news of Dwayne Haskins' sudden passing is still fresh in the minds of many. The former Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback was struck and killed by a vehicle while crossing a highway.

Now the audio exchange between Dwayne Haskins' wife Kalabrya and a 911 dispatcher has been released. Haskins had simply informed his wife that he was going to get gas and would contact her once he was through with the task. When he didn't contact her shortly after, that's when she contacted 911. The incident happened as Haskins was in Florida while training with his Steelers teammates.

In the 911 call, the dispatcher told Haskins' wife that there was a report of an accident near where she said her husband got out of his car, but she couldn't confirm if he was involved. The audio released Wednesday also included calls from witnesses who said they saw the dump truck hit a man.

A final crash report released by the Florida Highway Patrol said the Steelers QB was walking on the westbound side of I-595 when he entered into the travel lanes and into the path of the dump truck, which was traveling in the center lane. The front left of the dump truck struck Haskins.

Further investigation ruled that Dwayne Haskins was “improperly in the roadway” which takes blame away from the driver of the dump truck, who was said to not have “taken any actions that contributed to the accident”.
