Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Antonio Brown has been the talk of the league since Sunday's final regular season game against the Cincinnati Bengals. There has been nonstop speculation whether Brown was actually hurt or not and now there is further speculation that he wants to be traded.

The Steelers star wide receiver has been incredible for the team for many years now and it comes as quite a shock that this situation has unfolded to this level of speculation and controversy. Pro Football Talk's Mike Florio stated that the situation between Brown and the Steelers coaching staff was full of mixed emotions and miscommunication.

“At that point, the door was open for Brown, who had been listed as questionable with a knee injury, to play. But he went radio silent at that point, with no further communication with the team on Friday and none on Saturday. On Sunday, agent Drew Rosenhaus contacted Tomlin, explaining that Brown was feeling better and hoped to play. Tomlin said that it was too late for Brown to play.”

Florio added that Tomlin had sought Brown prior to the game and stressed that the star wide out ought to be there to stand by his team on Sunday.

“Brown and Tomlin met before the game, and Tomlin told Brown that he should attend the game to support the team. Tomlin couldn’t confirm that Brown left the game at halftime, because Tomlin simply wasn’t focusing on it.”

Whatever the case may be at this point, the Steelers need to mend any kind of controversy that has started within the team. Brown and Tomlin are two key aspects to the Steelers success and although they missed out on the playoffs this season, they are too good of a team for this to continue.
