Najee Harris has been on an absolute tear for the Pittsburgh Steelers. The rookie running back has taken on an insane work load for the offense, carrying the third-most touches in the league behind Titans RB Derrick Henry and Saints RB Alvin Kamara. Instead of getting exhausted about it, though, Harris is looking forward to getting more of these opportunities.

When asked if he's worried about his insane workload, Harris had this to say: (via AL.com)

“Nah. I want more. I think every running back should want the ball more if you’re that dog-type of running back… The load that I got and there being 11 more games left –10, whatever — this is the type of stuff that I would want. I would want that competition. And mentally, too, to know that you still got to keep going for the team and for Pittsburgh in general. I mean, it’s a good, I guess, road that’s in front of me right now. I love it. I love it, to be honest. I’m always happy.”

That's great to hear from your rookie running back, who's already shown a willingness to dig in and do anything for the Steelers. If it means grabbing the ball more often to get the offense going, Harris is willing to go through it.

However, the Steelers rookie knows his limits as well, not forcing himself and taking proper care of his body.

“My body’s good. I take really good care of my body, knock on wood, so I’m not tripping.”

With JuJu Smith-Schuster out for the entire season due to a shoulder injury, the Steelers offense will have to get more out of their ground game. Harris has shown he is willing and able to carry that load if needed: in Weeks 5 and 6, he carried for over 200 yards to propel the Steelers to big wins that put them at .500. They'll need a lot more of that from Najee Harris moving forward, as they look to climb the cellar.
