After ending their season with their second championship in three years, Stephen Curry and Andre Iguodala have turned their focus on their budding careers as venture capitalists. The Golden State Warriors duo will once again team up, this time outside of the basketball court, as they are slated to co-host a Players Technology Summit in San Francisco in August.

The event is scheduled from August 14-16 and will target former professional athletes and tech executives. It is presented by Bloomberg Media and a number of known personalities from the field are expected to attend it.

Iguodala talked about how he felt on co-hosting the summit, via Terry Collins of CNet:

“I've been fortunate to learn from some of the best in the tech and venture capital business and have put those learnings to work. The Players Technology Summit is about sharing those learnings and relationships and building a lasting impact.”

Curry echoed his statement while adding that in order to be successful in the tech field, it is important to be around experienced people, who can help someone improve.

“Whether you're thinking about your first move into entrepreneurship or investing, or perhaps already a veteran in the space, it's about surrounding yourself with the right team and putting in the work to always be improving as a professional.”

Over the past three years, both Iguodala and Curry have been trying to make a name for themselves in Silicon Valley. They have both invested in a number of different companies, as well as online social media platforms and apps, in hopes of making a mark in the tech field. By co-hosting the event, it will only help boost their stock, and leave an impression to the seasoned capitalists that have the knowledge to be successful in the field.
